The world moves fast. We still think about those five days.
Looking Back on Those Five Days
Under the spotlights, everything looks so bright and polished. When the final video of the closing ceremony lit up the screen, we sat in the audience and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
As this “gathering” we had prepared with our own hands drew to a close, the days we had spent together were slowly passing from the present into history. Looking back on the journey, a part of us still found it hard to believe:
A bunch of people like us really could bring a large event safely across the finish line.

But if we turn the clock back to this time last year, everything now before our eyes was still hidden in the unknown.
In an age accustomed to calculating investment and return, everyone has a main path they must follow. Faced with the demands of education, making a living, and the future, we each have real-life questions we have yet to answer.
If we were to put this into a spreadsheet about “certainty,” we would probably have to leave the “yes or no” column blank.
It offers no guaranteed return in any conventional sense, and it promises no shortcuts. It even asks us to give up the gaps in our lives and the energy we have left to fill countless empty spaces.

Why Keep Coming Together?
As time goes on, few people can stay in the same place forever.
Some, pushed by the gravity of real life, step away along the way. Others wear themselves out on the small tasks and constant demands, and choose to return to the steady course they once followed.
Every year, as people come and go, AdventureX has to be built all over again.

Meanwhile, AI has pressed the fast-forward button on this era. Code, design, and plans are being rewritten at astonishing speed. A prototype that once took a team weeks to build can now take shape in a few rounds of conversation.
A question began to form in our own minds, too: if the barrier between an idea and its realization has been completely erased, then bringing hundreds of people into the same space for five days—
What does it really mean?
The Voices That Stayed with Us
After the event, we began gathering the words and records everyone had left behind. Through these echoes, more sides of this gathering began to emerge:

120 hours of development over the long haul. My first time working through the night. We tore things down and rebuilt them over and over. It was an iteration of the plan, and an iteration of our mindset.
It was like a utopia. Everyone stepped out of their everyday lives and came together with a few wonderfully bold and interesting ideas, working day and night to create some really cool things. We barely slept over those five days, just kept staying up and up and up and up and up, but through thirty twists and turns we brought our idea to life and made a small, beautiful product.
Even as life goes on, stay humble and stay curious.
Every tear, every laugh, I will always love myself. I will always remember the height of summer when I was 20.
AdventureX is still the best event in China. I look forward to meeting every person I met here again. As we each travel through our own lives, I hope everyone takes care, and that we meet again.

My life has always felt like a pool of still water. Now and then, a surge of passion sends ripples across it, but the circles spread out and everything settles back into the ordinary.
These days felt like a dream: chaotic, grand, intense, exhausting. They stirred enormous waves deep inside me.
Some participants said this was the place with the most resources they could access before entering the working world. Providing a place for a group of young people with dreams to bring those dreams to life is truly meaningful.
We came here from different places just to hold this dream up together. That in itself is pretty cool.
It has been such an honor to witness you gradually turn the ideas in your heads into reality, all along the way.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of a group of people working on something together, and I met so many new people. What it means to be part of an ensemble became tangible.
Over five days, watching one demo after another turn from an idea into reality, I felt for the first time, so vividly, that people are capable of far more than we imagine.

The whole event felt like a grand utopia, drifting beyond reality. Whether participants or volunteers, we were deeply amazed to see flights of imagination take shape through AI interactions and code development.
At three in the morning on the day before it began, countless things were still piled up ahead of the opening. Every time someone said I could leave, I chose to stay. Every little bit of help counted, and I believed we could finish.
Why was I willing to stay up into the early hours? Why was I willing to spend eight hours at the gate? Part of it was that it was fun and interesting. The other part is hard to explain.
Calling it passion feels too shallow, too weighty. I cannot give you an answer.
Each person is like someone standing in the middle of the water, sending out ripples in concentric circles. Relationships form where those circles meet.
AdventureX is magical. At least in that moment, our ripples met, and it did not matter whether they would eventually fade.

What do you think AdventureX really means?
You Storytellers ask this kind of question every time!
It seems this really is an event that is hard to put into words.
More Than a Hackathon
“A hackathon” is a name too small to hold all of this.
There is competition here, and creation, and encounters. After five days, everyone carries away something different.
Beyond Those Five Days
Five days are short, as brief as a midsummer dream. Before the cicadas fall silent, it is already time to part. Five days are also long: long enough for scattered lights to gather into a river of stars, for the road we have traveled to stretch on without end. The lights dim, and we each set out toward our own mountains and seas. Yet the ripples of our meeting keep spreading, circle after circle, into the distance.

Those who leave this place take a part of it with them. It follows them back to their cities and their everyday lives, to be remembered again in a conversation or a decision.
And so it continues beyond those five days.
Its story continues to be written by everyone who carries it away. Its meaning, too, slowly takes on different forms within different lives and paths.
Gradually, it no longer belongs to any one person, and it no longer needs anyone to define it. Because it has already found a place in everyone’s heart,
Because it is there.

But a “gathering” does not happen on its own. Behind it are countless nights no one knows about and plans overturned again and again. Behind it is a group of people making room in the scattered gaps of their lives, a little at a time. We know why this is worth doing, and we also know that enthusiasm alone cannot see it through.
We do not want to package this experience as a shortcut to success. But we would like to invite you to the other side of this gathering, bringing your own ideas, to join us and
Shape next year’s AdventureX with your own hands

If you are working on something that lights you up inside, and are willing to join us in making another “leap of faith,” you can try stepping into the part of this story that has yet to be written.
When you, too, stand beneath the lights, the questions that have no answers today may find their answers within your heart.

We haven’t yet seen AdventureX at its best. We look forward to working with you.
